We are constantly moving towards bigger and bigger achievements in the field of science and technology. So far, many advanced home theatre systems have proved how they can be used to play a number of different sources of data. However, in any home theatre system, the wildcard is the sound system. The speakers and subwoofers need to be fully geared up and equipped to play and deliver a good sound quality for both movies and music. If your home theatre does not do this, you can update it by buying the Onkyo SKS-HT540 7.1 speaker.
Lacking in the gentle artistry and finesse of the Sony and other products, the Onkyo’s latest speaker comes with looks chunky enough to invite derision and ridicule. That said, it is a wonder how the SKS-HT540 actually hits hard. The systems of speakers are divided into front, central and surround sound speakers. These work at a full throttle of 130 watts of power to deliver possibly the best auditory accompaniment to movies, music and video games.
The front and central speakers can deliver a full whopping capacity of 7.1 channel surround sound. With the unique 2 way bass reflex facility, the speakers can be used to modulate and change its output. So, upon your request, the Onkyo SKS-HT540 Speaker can play either treble or simple and loud bass.
People might be a bit befuddled over what can be the right thing to play through the SKS HT540 set of speakers. It is natural that the action packed movies will really sound incredible. But, my concern was with the movies with good dialogues as well. So, I tried out the Christopher Nolan movie, ‘Inception’, on my home theatre. God! It was simply awesome.
The movie’s much praised special effects and action sequences sounded really mind blowing with these speakers blowing it away at full tempo. I particularly loved it in the Paris scene when every object in the street seems to be exploding. I swear that the sounds were as real as they can be in a theatre. However, the dialogues were clearly audible as well. For a while, I actually did not care about using the subtitles on my DVD disc.
Unfortunately, the Onkyo SKS HT540 speaker set falls flat in its output of only music. While the speakers can be connected to any music player like IPod or any similar portable MP3 and MP4 player, it still does not deliver here the expected impact.
Still, the SKS HT540 is not without virtues. It is one of the best speaker sets in recent time for games and movies. Moreover, it is also quite varied. It can be connected to even Xbox and PlayStation devices so, you should buy it.
